Are you ready?

I am reading on fb about drug dealers, crime and home invasions.  It is really sad.  I see on the news that residents in Bath NY are trying to fight back.  It seems that it is in all areas.

I don’t know the answer to stop it, but I at least have some protection just in case.  Our personal protection products include stun guns, pepper spray, kubatons, alarms, etc.  Our pepper spray enables you to defend yourself while keeping a safe distance from an attacker.  Damsel in Defense pepper spray is one of the hottest on the market!  The potency of this spray enables it to bring down the most aggressive of attacker; even those under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  It is sad to think that we need to keep a can of pepper spray or a stun gun as close as our phone, but it is a very good idea, even when we are home.

Our alarms would be very startling as well and may be enough to give you time to get something else if you didn’t have it close.  Even our Road Trip Flashlight would do some damage on someone if you needed to hit them with the diamond point window breaker.

Layer your protection! Our stun guns have disable pins, so if it would be taken from you it couldn’t be used against you.  If taken from you, you should have something else to take its place, like pepper spray or kubaton.   If your able to….

Today our assignment was to write for 10 minutes…..  Ready? Set! Done!!! 🙂

Coming Back!

I am back after taking a trip to my sister’s.  We enjoyed our time together and the only thing that suffered was my blog posts.  I didn’t have internet service at her house so now I am playing catch up.  My plan is to write 2 posts each day until I am caught up, one for the current day and one for where I left off before the trip. It is no fun getting behind and catching up, so I am glad I had fun while I was there!

Today we are to write about anything…. but it must include a speeding car, a phone call and a crisp bright morning. Sounds like another “short story” ! Ha Ha  I don’t think in this hurried state I feel inspired as I did then, but I will do my assignment! 🙂  See if you can find them! 🙂  I will try to add some safety tips along the way as well, seeing that is what my blog is about.

Coming home from my sister’s was a much better trip than when I left on the Thursday before.  On my way there it rained the whole time. I left in the afternoon so it was dark and raining 5 hours later when I arrived. We had a good time together.  She held her launch party for Damsel in Defense and we set up a vendor booth at the American Legion’s Holiday Shopping Vendors Show during the weekend. There are going to be some happy protected people come Christmas! She sold several of the Road Trip, Alarms, Kubatons, and many other Personal Protection Products.  She did very well and we had a good time.

When I got packed up and headed for home it seemed good that it was a crisp bright morning. 🙂  All at once I saw a blur go by and realized it was a speeding car!  I thought to myself of all the scenarios that it could be.  We should never judge someone when it looks like they are doing something they shouldn’t be, we don’t know the story behind it. I could picture that person getting a phone call that was very upsetting and they were trying to get to their destination in a hurry. You could “what if” all day and find reasons to speed.  I just pray they make it there safely and don’t hurt anyone else along the way.  Sometimes we get so focused on what is wrong, that we miss the danger we put ourselves and others in. It is called, not thinking!  So, This is all the more reason for us to be thinking and aware of our surroundings.  Watch out for the other guy!  He might not be watching out for you!

Be safe and Stunningly Protected!

Looking to Join our mission and become a Damsel Pro! :)

Today’s Assignment: publish a post for your dream reader, and include a new-to-you element in it.

I have to chose my dream reader as someone who is considering joining our mission and my team as a Damsel PRO.  Helping me to arm women and others with the protection that is needed at this time in our world.

My Story: Back in the 80s I was a House of Lloyd Supervisor, which was a party plan business. We had a great time, earned lots of ribbons, awards and my sister (one of my team members) and I earned an all expense paid trip to Hawaii!  I also earned a trip to Disney World in FL where I took my two daughters.  Working for House of Lloyd was a fun time. I enjoyed doing the parties, meeting new friends and working with my team.  I had training meetings, sent them motivational letters and worked with each individual to be successful in their business.

Then I went to work for the Postal Service.  I couldn’t do both jobs so I stopped working for House of Lloyd and had one of my team members take over my team.  I always said that when I retire from the Postal Service that I would get back into a party plan business. I knew it was something that I enjoyed but the Postal Service was a better paying job at the time.   I now have retired from the U. S. Postal Service with 25 years of service. It was a real good job and I was fortunate to work most of my years as Postmaster of my home town. Just before I retired, I tried a couple of different companies, one was selling jewelry and the other was soft soy wax melts.  They were and are both great companies, both were God serving which I look for in a company and I love their products but I didn’t feel the same motivation with them that I did with House of Lloyd, so I kept looking.

I found the company that I was looking for in Damsel in Defense.  God Serving, with great products.  I love the feeling of possibly saving a life, saving someone from being abducted, saving someone from rape, and helping someone with financial issues. It takes work, but the pay can be enough to make a decent living.

I recently held my first home show, which is called an Empower Hour.  With the other two companies that I was in, I was dreading going to do the show.  I don’t know why but I did. With this one, I felt excitement.  I felt the same excitement when I set up a vendor booth and did very well with it.  I haven’t felt the dread that I felt before.  I don’t know if it is because I get to show off our amazing products and what they do! 🙂  Or if it is less products to have to carry, set up and explain.  I am not sure what it is but I love it! 🙂

Cover photo

“Empower Hour” When I explained each product, one of the ladies attending timed me to see if I was staying within the Hour.  It only took me 30 minutes to show and demonstrate all of our products.  So the other 30 minutes was for ordering.  It is nice that it only takes an hour.  People have busy lives and will appreciate only keeping them for an hour.  So exciting! 🙂

Did you know? A violent crime occurs every 26 seconds, 1 in 3 women experience domestic violence from their partners, 1 in 5 women are survivors of rape, a child is abducted every 40 seconds.

Our Mission…. To Equip, Empower & Educate women to protect themselves with our safe and sassy personal protection products.

Are you passionate about safety and empowering women?

We are looking for Independent Damsel Pros to get our products into the hands of unarmed women across the nation.  You can earn income by teaming up with us and raising awareness around a greater mission that provides healing to the hurt, opportunity to the oppressed and hope to the helpless.

What I like best about this business!  I can set my own hours.  Work as much or as little as I want. Meet new friends, spend time with current family and friends, I feel like I am helping to keep them protected.   It only takes one trip to go into a home to set up for the party.  Getting rewards and feeling like you are part of the bigger picture and family.  Tax deductions are great at the end of the year!

I look forward to having you join my team! We will do great things together! 🙂

Please visit my website and click on “Join Now”  You can look over each kit.  $149 to get started; you will receive $345 in products to get you started!  It is a great way to have a business with very low cost to you!

I tried to put this video in my post for my new to me element….guess that didn’t go so well. And I don’t have time to work anymore on it, so I will check it out next week!

Have a great day! Be Safe and Stunningly Protected!

Janie 🙂

I loved this poem and post. It is the first time I have ever reblogged a post. God has and does use many women in His work. All you need to do is Trust Him. We have an Awesome God! 🙂

Love Lifted Me! :)

I am participating in two different things this month.  National Blog Post Month, which is posting every day in November and Blogging101 which gives me prompts each day to expand on.  Today: Is titled “By Heart” You’re asked to recite a poem (or song lyrics) from memory — what’s the first one that comes to mind? Does it have a special meaning, or is there another reason it has stayed, intact, in your mind?

It is funny (Coincidence or God’s Leading?) that they would ask us to do this, because I was just thinking a couple of days ago that I would work this song in to my post.  I was thinking on a Sunday (God’s day), I have just moved it up a couple days! 🙂  I think of this song often because it was my Mom’s favorite song.  Another link  to this task (God’s Leading) is I was reading this morning, before I knew what our assignment was for today.  It was another’s blog who wrote a letter to her mom that had passed. “Dear Mom”  It really touched my heart and made me again think of my mom.  Now this assignment…..

This blog post from me will be my song lyrics “By Heart”,  from “My Heart!” and Heaven! 🙂

My Mom was the Best Mom anyone could ever ask for.  I am not sure how she taught us respect because we just respected her!  No beatings, no yelling, no stand in the corner, no sit on the couch.  We just knew in our hearts that we HAD Better toe the mark! Ha Ha  Mom suffered from liver cancer for 5 years and went to be with our Lord and Saviour in Heaven at the early age of 63.  That was 26 years ago this past September.  I think of her every day, she left me and my siblings with wonderful memories, we loved her very much.  In fact, she was so much a part of our life, that I feel God took her away from us a little at a time. Stopped bowling with us, but was still there.  Stopped going everywhere with us, but she was still there. At the end, He gave us all new jobs that took our focus and attention so she could slip into eternity peacefully and know that we were all OK.  Makes me cry even all these years later.  Anyway, to her song, and now my song

“Love Lifted Me”

Verse 1: I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore.  Very deeply Stained within, sinking to rise no more.  But the Master of the sea, heard my despairing cry.  From the waters lifted me, now SAFE am I!  Love Lifted Me!

Refrain: Love Lifted Me!  Love Lifted Me! When nothing else could help, Love Lifted Me!

Verse 2: All my heart to Him I give, ever to Him I’ll Cling. In His Blessed presence live, ever His praises sing.  Love so mighty and so true, merits my soul’s best songs, Faithful, loving service too, to Him belongs.

Refrain: Love Lifted Me!  Love Lifted Me! When nothing else could help, Love Lifted Me!

Souls in danger look above, Jesus completely saves.  He will lift you by His love, out of the angry waves.  He’s the Master of the sea, billows His will obey, He your Savior wants to be, be saved today!

Refrain: Love Lifted Me!  Love Lifted Me! When nothing else could help, Love Lifted Me!

As I think of this song and the types of Love that Lift us, I think of God’s Love for us, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16  I think of Jesus’ Love for us,  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8  I think of my husband’s love, I think of my parents Love for us and Love of offspring 🙂  Each type of Love is Special and unique and Lifts me in different ways.

When we are working a vending booth or at a party, we have Mothers and Grandmothers mention their wish to buy self defense products for their kids and grandkids. I say Please think of yourself as well.  Remember, you are important to your kids and grandkids. I am sure they want you protected as much as you want to protect them.

Be Safe, Love Much, and Be Stunningly Protected,

Janie 🙂

Layer your Protection

Wow! I woke up this morning to notifications of comments and followings of my blog!  That was exciting!  I have to admit, I have felt very busy and wondering if I should have committed to writing every day in November.  This mornings comments and followings were real motivators! Thank you to the ones who messaged and followed my blog! 🙂

For the NaBloPoMo our daily prompt is The Spice of Success.  I am thinking what I am suppose to do is incorporate this prompt into my post, so here goes.

Tuesday is our Training call from our Corporate Headquarters of Damsel in Defense.  I got a lot of good information on Self Defense and Personal Protection that I would like to share with this post.  The Spice of Success in Self Defense is to Be Ready and Not to Get Ready!

Our Stun Guns have a disable pin that has to be inserted into them to enable them to work.  I especially like this feature because of kids in the house, (they would be less likely to be able to turn the stun gun on, stun guns are not lethal, but they HURT!) or if the disable pin is around your wrist which is the plan when you are attacked, it would disable the stun gun should it be grabbed from you.  That would be the perfect world, but we don’t live in a perfect world so you need to layer your protection.  You need to have another form of protection in case the stun gun is taken from you.  We were told today and I am very happy to announce that all of the stun guns ordered from now on will have a Plan B disable pin.  This Plan B will have a key ring on it  to enable you to keep a second line of defense attached to them.  “Layer your Protection”

Plan B DISABLEPINGet a Grip Large Stun Gun

As you are walking to your car or closing up a business or walking down the street, etc. “Be Ready”, (it is the spice of success in self defense!) so you don’t have to Get Ready!  Have your disable pin in place just in case you find yourself in a threatening situation.  I feel so bad for the girl in Philadelphia who was walking down the street and was abducted this past Sunday.  I pray for her safe return to her loved ones.  I am sad to say in Philadelphia stun guns are not legal to carry.  Could she have used one?  I don’t know, but it would be good to give yourself the chance if it is possible.  I am happy that we can carry stun guns in the rest of our great state.  I just don’t understand why they are not legal everywhere.  If you go to my website and click on shop now, stun guns and then on the picture of a stun gun, it will give you a list of areas they cannot ship to.

Real Life, you might not have time to Be Ready!  And you might not have time to Get Ready.  We have several other defense tools that could be used and attached to your stun gun disable pin. (Another chance for success in self defense)  If it is grabbed from you, they leave you with the disable pin and your other tool of defense. The personal defense products that we have that will attach to a key ring are our Hardcore Pepper Spray, Pouch O’ Pepper, Kubatons, Holla Alarms. Pepper Spray would be the next ideal form of defense, but the alarms would at least create attention!  Attackers are normally looking for opportunity not attention!

Our training call was headed up by a law enforcement officer.  He gave several great tips and information on how to better protect ourselves.  I will continue with more information and tips through my posts in the next few days.  Please check back to help you Be Ready and Stunningly Protected!

Janie 🙂

Peace of Mind

I go to my daughter’s houses about twice per week and drive home around 9:30 – 10:00 p.m.  I always try to remember to take my pepper spray along just in case I would break down or have a flat tire on the way home and end up walking in the dark.

HARD Core Pepper Spray

I feel much safer having the pepper spray with me, just in case I would encounter something that was looking to hurt me.  A couple of times I forgot to get it from my walking bag or purse before I left.

POUCH of Pepper Spray

Our pepper spray is $10.00 each for the small ones pictured above. (Hard Core or Pouch of Pepper).  I decided at that price, I could lock one in our glove compartment of the car, that way I wouldn’t have to worry with making sure I remembered it.  The Peace of Mind is worth it to me to know that it is there.  I hope to never need it and most likely I won’t.  It seems when we are prepared for something, is when it never happens.  I would rather be prepared and have Peace of Mind than to be in a threatening situation and be at a loss on how to protect myself and/or others.
